Hey friends! I began my natural hair journey in 2013! I decided to go natural when I was looking back at old pictures of my hair when I was in middle school and couldn’t believe how long and curly my hair used to be. I wanted my hair back! In high school, I was obsessed with straightening my hair which caused a lot of heat damage and dryness to my curls and a lot of money wasted on all the Brazilian treatments I did.

When I began my journey, I had no idea what I was doing but tried to figure it all out by experimenting with different products. In order to maintain my curls, I must cleanse with ACV every other week to ensure my scalp is cleansed and balanced! I also need to condition with a super moisturizing Leave in conditioner because my hair needs to be hydrated.

I usually style with Cantu’s Shea Butter Leave in Conditioner, however, in the beginning of my journey I used a lot of Shea Moisture’s products especially their Coconut & Hibiscus line as well as DevaCurl’s One Conditioner.

I’ve learned to love my hair over the past 4 years and really embrace it! If you’re currently transitioning, be patient and enjoy the process. Try a bunch of products out with different techniques and you’ll find what works for YOU. Your hair will change and in the end, it will be all worth it!
✨Cheers to all my naturals! ✨
